Tracy Tegarden has made Trade Winds Photography synonymous with the finest in wedding and portrait photography since its inception in 1998. Having pursued his interest in photography for the last 20 years, he spent several years perfecting his craft before turning pro.  His work is a constant evolution as his inspirations come from a variety of sources, but more importantly from every client he photographs. His work has been viewed in several publications, including the cover of the Maui Wedding Planner.

Consistent professionalism from Tracy has been recognized among his peers.  Several organizations have elected him to office.  He is currently the president of Maui Professional Photographers and has spent several years as an elected official of the Maui Wedding Association. Tracy is dedicated to providing quality professional photography on Maui and the entire Hawaiian islands.  In 2009 Trade Winds Photography was awarded " The Best in Photography" by the U.S. Commerce Association.

Tracy's love of the outdoors first brought him to Maui in the early 1980's.  He usually likes to start his day by enjoying Maui's great weather.  You will find him out paddling canoes, riding his bike, catching a wave, or just out having fun!  Back in the office he enjoys creating beautiful images for his clients.  He also loves the movies. On the job he'll often use his unique sense of humor to quote lines from movies that seem to fit the moment.  If you're lucky (or unlucky, depending on your point of view) you may get one of his impersonations of Homer Simpson, Ronald Regan or Clint Eastwood, but never ask him to do his Mike Tyson, especially if he's hungry.  Tracy has a great love for most animals and shares his home with "Rocky" his pet cat.    He says everything is under control because Rocky has him trained well. 

A very special woman shares Tracy's life. He explains, "Being in love is a great gift and being able to share those emotions with my clients compliments my work. We all want the same thing... to have fun, be in love and enjoy life!"
